Professional Internship at TradExpert Team: An Unforgettable Translation Experience
Professional Internship at TradExpert Team: An Unforgettable Translation Experience
From August 4 to 29, 2025, TradExpert Team welcomed 17
final-year students from the School of Translation and Interpretation at the
National Pedagogical University (UPN). For nearly a month, these future
translators and interpreters experienced an immersive professional journey,
combining rigor, passion, and linguistic innovation.
A Comprehensive Immersion in the World of Translation
Under the guidance of Mr. Éloge Mulumba, General Manager of TradExpert Team,
the interns were deeply involved in the translator’s profession. They engaged
in oral translations (English, French, and Congolese national languages),
voice-over work in Lingala, Swahili, Tshiluba, and Kikongo, transcription
projects, translation into foreign languages (Spanish, Portuguese, German), and
voice recording exercises. This diverse exposure allowed the students to
explore all facets of the profession.
According to Mr. Mulumba, “Everyone should give themselves the means to
achieve their ambitions.” At TradExpert, this means mastering digital
tools, promoting national languages, and providing close support that fosters
excellence.
Academic Follow-up and Mentoring
The UPN supervising lecturers, CT Mvwala Katshinga and CT Nadine Mwanga,
visited TradExpert Team several times. Their presence strengthened the link
between academic theory and professional practice, notably by attending the
interns’ presentations.
Mr. Mvwala Katshinga emphasized: “In our time, we didn’t have all these
tools at our disposal. At TradExpert Team, we feel right at home — this is our
place — and we are proud to have a graduate of the School of Translation and
Interpretation who practices the profession with professionalism and to whom we
can confidently send our students.”

The feedback collected at the end of the internship was unanimous: this

Each participant received an official certificate, a professional reference for

shared memories, and the traditional group photo.
TradExpert Team: A Launchpad for Tomorrow’s Talent
Through this internship program, TradExpert Team reaffirms its commitment to
investing in the next generation of Congolese translators. The goal? To create
a dynamic network of young translators trained in both linguistic excellence
and digital tool proficiency.
“The future of Congolese translators lies in mastering
national languages and translation technologies.” – Éloge Mulumba
TradExpert Team will continue this momentum by regularly
offering practical internships to young graduates and strengthening solid
partnerships with academic institutions across the country.
