Bridge to Interpreting: TradExpert Team Launches a Pilot Training Programme Starting 6 January 2026

TradExpert Team is pleased to announce the official launch of Bridge to Interpreting, a pilot training programme specifically designed for beginner-level English students enrolled in the fields of translation, languages, literature and communication. The inaugural cohort will commence on 6 January 2026 and will run for 10 weeks, with sessions held twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday, for a flexible duration of 2 to 3 hours per session. The programme will follow a hybrid format, combining in-person classes in Kinshasa with online sessions.

Designed to address the growing need for professionalisation in the linguistic sector, this programme aims to serve as a genuine bridge between theoretical knowledge and practical interpreting skills. Under the motto “Give yourself the means to achieve your ambitions”, TradExpert Team encourages motivated students to strengthen their functional English and take their first steps in consecutive and liaison interpreting through a practical, progressive and immersive learning experience.

A Practical, Immersive and Skills-Oriented Programme

Bridge to Interpreting is structured as an intensive learning journey built around three core pillars: vocabulary, listening comprehension, and interpreting practice. Through authentic dialogues, interactive activities, interviews, real-life scenarios and professional simulations, participants will gradually develop fluency, responsiveness and clarity of expression in interpreting contexts.

The programme comprises 10 thematic lessons, covering essential areas of everyday and professional life:

• Clothing and laundry
• Shopping
• Food & beverages
• At the restaurant
• The car & the road
• Public transportation
• Health
• Work & career

Each module follows a structured progression: vocabulary acquisition → listening to dialogues → interpreting exercises based on mockups or real-life situations.

A Progressive and Professionalising Methodology

The training is based on a communicative and immersive approach that promotes continuous practice and coherent learning. Regular assessments — quizzes, supervised interpreting tasks, practical assignments and a final project — will allow participants to measure their progress and build autonomy. The hybrid format ensures maximum flexibility while maintaining high-quality pedagogical support.

Concrete Skills and a Valuable Professional Portfolio

At the end of the 10-week programme, participants will be able to:

• master more than 1,000 essential English words;
• interpret simple dialogues and texts with clarity and structure;
• respond confidently in consecutive or liaison interpreting situations;
• present a mini-portfolio of practical work, a real asset for future academic or professional opportunities.
